About
Institution:
Education plays a significant role in building a society. Under
the visionary Management of Khandesh college education society,
the College of Education, Jalgaon impart teacher education to 160
students in an academic year.
The institute aims to provide creative and innovative teacher education
that develops self directed and independent thinking among the teacher
trainees. It aspires to be resource centre in teacher education,
providing extension service and making teaching resources available
to member schools. It also intends to provide educational consultancy
services and establishing greater presence in academic circle and
policy making body. It aims to enhance collaboration with other
teacher education colleges . Using and incorporating E.T. more meaningfully
and in doing so developing research skills is also one of the Institutional
aims. At the same time the college works towards making teaching
learning enjoyable experience. It is committed to several social
issues especially those concerning woman, environment and non formal
education
These aims of the college is visualized by conducting B.Ed course
affiliated to North Maharashtra University, B.Ed. Vocational course
and B.Ed. Sahayogi course from Yashvantrao Mukta Vidyapeet, Nasik
and Women empowerment course of IGNO University.
The extension services department working under the patronage of
the State Government of Maharashtra is an added feather to the bunch
of activities, through which nearly 500 secondary school teachers,
100 headmasters and nearly 100 non teaching employees of the Jalgaon
district are oriented in different scholastic activities during
an academic year.
College of Teacher Education (C.T.E.) title is bestowed for 9 colleges
in Maharashtra state, of which, we are happy to announce that ours
is one among them. The central government, through state council
for research training and education has sanctioned the financial
aid to our college through C.T.E. to enhance the pre service and
in service training programs in Dulia, Nandurbar ang Jalgaon districts.
So for, more than 500 teachers of this area have benefited from
this programme.
From the current academic year the college has added M.Ed and Diploma
in school Management courses affiliated to Y.C.M.O.U to the treasure
of existing courses.
To assure, enhance and maintain the quality of teacher education,
our college has created a vision called vision 2010. Under this
customer oriented programme, the input for the progress of the college
is invited by the customers of the college in the form of SWOT analysis.
This SWOT analysis is used to improve the process management of
our college, thereby to elevate the states of this college form
local level to national and international by the year 2010.
