Under the missionary management of Khandesh
College Education Society, Jalagon,
the KCES College of Education has started
its beginning of producing the teachers
of tomorrow from the year 1965. The
college is recognized by the Government
and included under section 2(f) and
section 12 B of the UGC act. The College
is a grant in aid Teacher Education
Institution affiliated to North Maharashtra
University, Jalgaon. In the year1989
the college has started un aided division.
The intake capacity of each division
is eighty students. The college has
also started M.Ed. section in the year
2009, which is also affiliated to North
Maharashtra University, Jalgaon. |

The intake capacity of the M.Ed. section
is twenty five students initially and
thirty five students from the academic
year 2010-11. The College is bestowed
with the title CTE title (College for
teacher Education) by the HRD Ministry
of Central Government. The Extension
Department of the College, which is
patronaged by the State Government of
Maharastra, caters to the in service
training need of the secondary school
teachers of Jalgaon District. The education
in the distant mode is undertaken by
the college with the help of IGNOU,
YCMOU and Punjab Technical University. |

The college is situated in the 25 Acers beautiful
campus in Jalgaon. Jalgaon city is the district
headquarters place of Jalgaon District in Maharashtra.
The campus is 2km away from the Jalgaon Railway
stop of the central railway. The College campus
is well equipped with the necessary facilities
like canteen, gymkhana, spacious play grounds
vehicle parking facilities and ultra modern
Ladies and Gents Hostels. The College is situated
along with Nursery, Primary, Secondary and College
buildings in the campus.
The College has incorporated several quality
initiatives in all the three dimensions of the
teacher education, namely teaching, research
and extension. The progress and achievements
of our college lies in its consistence efforts,
struggle and perseverance in maintaing the quality
in the three dimensions of Teacher Education.
The College has set very high standards for
itself in teaching. The teaching learning process
is facilitated with the usage of latest technology,
blending Information Communication Technology
with conventional teaching technology along
with incorporating inputs from contemporary
research. The efforts of the highly qualified
and innovative teacher educators of the college,
is self evident in the quality results of the
students in the University examination.
KCES College of Education is one of the bet
research centers in the state. Several eminent
research guides are attached to this center.
Many students are doing research from project
level to dissertation and thesis level. The
college library is the nerve center of the college.
Library contains more than 24,000 books on the
subject education. The ICT laboratory with internet
services free to the students and staff as well
as with all modern facilities is an added advantage
to the students. |
